Fight the Good Fight and Help Spread The D-Day 2020 Word

By |Published On: March 4th, 2020|

Just because you’re a fan of the Cannabis plant doesn’t mean social media platforms agree. It’s a fight that Fields of Green for All have been fighting for the past eight years and it’s now reached a point where our voices alone are not enough. Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms have all but banned us so we are deploying our own “digital street team” to help get the word out about our fundraising event: D-Day 2020.

Spread The D-Day 2020 Word

Spreading the D-Day 2020 Word on Social Media

Cannabis culture has made massive leaps in recent years across South Africa. Even with the September 2018 ConCourt ruling in the rearview mirror, there is still a legal battle that needs fighting. We, as a non-profit organisation, are leading the charge for change. Our annual fundraiser event is happening again on 25 April 2020 to celebrate Cannabis culture.

Because we have been shadowbanned on most of our social media platforms, we have created a “Digital Street Team pack for you to download. Once you have downloaded the pack, you will find a series of images designed for each of the social media platforms. Please take the contents of the street team packs and share them on your Facebook profiles, Facebook stories, Instagram feeds, Instagram stories, Twitter or anywhere else you have a digital footprint.

Growing South African Cannabis Culture One Post at a Time

D-Day is South Africa’s largest Cannabis culture festival. The funds raised are used to make sure that every day South African’s human right to use the Cannabis plant is protected. D-Day 2020, along with the voices of the South African Cannabis community, can help break the stigma by placing a spotlight on the fun, energetic and amazing Cannabis culture within South Africa.

Please help bring more awareness to the cause by downloading and sharing the Digital Street Team pack below and sharing it everywhere you can online. We would still be in the darkest days of prohibition if it wasn’t for the everyday activism of each and every member of the South African Cannabis community. And even though social media platforms are trying to silence us as individuals, they can’t silence us as a community. Join us.

      Hi Wendy,
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 virus, we have had to postpone DDay 420 until further notice. Please watch our blog and social media for when we announce our new date and you can book a stall on our event page. Hope to see you then!

You need to have this event in Stellenbosch as well. I suggest the Jan. S Marais Park :-)
