Hi there, hope you guys can help me out on this. Two years ago I was pulled over and the police found 4 gram of dagga in my car. Needless to say I was arrested on the spot, although I should mention that I gave my full co-operation and they treated me pretty decently. I was driven by a police officer in my own car to the station, where I was ‘processed’ (is that the correct term?) and made to pay a R400 fine. I was never locked up, after paying the fine I was sent on my way. The thing is, I now want to pursue another job and will almost certainly have to go through a criminal check. I just want to know whether this will come up in the search and what amount of detail will they be able to see? This has been hanging over my head like a sword now and I can’t seem to find any straight answers anywhere.
