This past week we were fortunate enough to attend and participate in the International Cannabis Symposium at the UCT Law School in Cape Town.

It featured an incredible lineup of lawyers, activists, philanthropists, IKS leaders, community organisations, medical professionals, and even a few licenced facilities aswell as experts from across the globe. All we were missing was government (well, John Jeffrey was there, but he always reminds us he’s only a consultant).

The three days kicked off with keynote talks from the legendary Steve DeAngelo and veteran cannabis attorney Bob Hoban.

Discussions ranged from police engagements — with fascinating insights into how things work — to international standards for cannabis, cannabis economics, trade and equity, and laws across the globe, including where reforms have gone right and wrong.

We have over 17 hours of these amazing panels, which we’ll be releasing as soon as we can get them edited and ready for your viewing pleasure. We also have a few blogs on the way that will unpack the three days in a bit more depth.
