Adult Use Cannabis remains the largest market in the world, driven by adults who use Cannabis for a wide variety of reasons. THC is put front and centre in the consideration of an end to prohibition and the laws and regulations that go with that. High THC flower and products are both sought after by customers and vilified by the scaremongers. We came across some interesting info on LinkedIn this week:
Research presented by Israel Gasperin from Zentrela Inc. at CannMed Events this year has answers to some pertinent questions based on two peer-reviewed papers:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34727345/
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33826089/
The researchers present objective measurements of psychoactivity following the use of different products, based on EEG scans.
In short…
What will get you more high – 14% flower or 30% flower?
14% flower had over 2x the psychoactivity level compared to the 30% flower and was 2.5x as bioavailable
Live Rosin or Distillate?
85% live rosin was about twice as psychoactive as 85% distillate in a vape pen
Which is more relaxing, CBD isolate or CBD with terpenes?
CBD isolate was rubbish and CBD with terps was lit!
The papers also answer more subtle questions like:
Does this make THC potency and lab shopping for it obsolete?
What is it about lower potency that makes it more bioavailable?

Hi Joanne!
Top notch research shows that cannabinoids (including THC) show ‘biphasic’ dose-response curves ie. there’s a ‘sweet spot’ .This is a robust pattern. Ethan Russo shows in an article that terps are surprisingly powerful modulators of these effects
In short, cannabis is a powerful lady perfectly multi-tasking as only a lady can!
